We became a Record Label in 2018 with distribution via Sony, The Orchard in 2020. In 2021 Electric Pineapple Publishing was born, supported by PRS & MCPS. Publishing and label representation is currently exclusive and by invite only. We work alongside major labels including SONY and Universal and have had our music placed across numerous syncs in TV and film both in the UK and internationally.

Andrew Kingslow

ANDREW KINGSLOW

From working on the latest John Legend album in LA to planning creditable collaborations on the anticipated soundtrack for The Rastamouse Movie, internationally renowned producer and composer Andrew Kingslow is a compelling creative force.

A classically trained multi-instrumentalist with unparalleled proficiency in creating an emotional connection through sound, Andrew's ability to use music to amplify storytelling captures the imagination of audiences globally.

Prolific in producing for the likes of Sony, EMI Records, Ninja Tune, and Daptone Records and composing award-winning soundtracks for film, TV, and advertising, his industry-recognised work spans an impressive three decades of collaboration. From working with major and independent record labels to composing and producing for children's TV (such as Paw Patrol, Rastamouse, Apple Tree House) and advertisements/syncs for Galaxy, DeLorean, Mentos and Microsoft - to name a few.

Playing the guitar from the age of four firmly positions Andrew as a lifelong creative, making him knowledgeable on the inequitable exploitation and barriers to success that many experience within the industry. But where some may look to further themselves to the detriment of others, Andrew's stance is categorically different.

Growing up, when money was invested in music, Andrew's natural ability saw him awarded a fully subsidised music scholarship to the reputable Chethams School of Music. Aware that his privileged education gave him social mobility and open the door into the music industry, Andrew's ambition is to provide aspiring creatives with no punching power, a helping hand.

Mentoring with the Musician's Union and directly through Electric Pineapple, Andrew uses his established years within the industry to arm emerging talent with the skills and understanding of their rights for a successful pathway within the industry.

With a relatively new diagnosis of ASD, Andrew champions inclusivity, equality, and diversity for the neurodivergent and creatives across all sections of society. A uniquely valuable contribution to an industry where exploitation can be rife.

TRINA SMITH

A bold, fearless business mind grounded in the desire to bring inclusivity, fairness, and transparency to creatives makes Trina Smith something of a rarity in the music industry.

With years of commercial experience and the fundamental belief that emerging and established talent deserve acknowledgment, respect, and reward for their work - Trina's contributions to this duo powerhouse bring a refreshing and BS-free approach to the industry.

Rapidly becoming recognised as a tenacious manager with an unapologetic stance against the exploitation of artists, Trina's cool and calm persona allows her to be reactive in an ever-evolving landscape. Her remarkable ability to hone in on a good idea with her confident approach and 'can do' attitude, opens invaluable windows of creative opportunities - and fast.

As a mixed-race female in a male-dominated industry, Trina proudly champions diversity. Women, LGBTQ, ethnic minorities, fellow mothers, and arguably the closest to Electric Pineapple's heart - the neurodiverse.

With Trina's recent diagnosis of ADHD and Andrew's ASD, the duo have a newfound ambition toward nurturing and supporting the vast neurodiverse in the creative industry. To help them recognise their superpower as one of creativity, innovation, and the unique ability to think outside the box. To fulfill their potential, break away from any stigma, and be free from exploitation in the industry.

For Trina, this never means undermining the success of people outside of these groups - there's a firm belief that we are stronger together. Collaboration is key, and Trina's unmatched ability to forge beneficial relationships ensures solidarity and fairness for all.

What People Are Saying

“It was a great process and Andrew was brilliant, and what I love was his openness for the tweaks. I really, really appreciate that.”

— Ian France, Sky Kids

“I’ve known Trina for more years than I can remember and I can say in all honesty that she is one the most hard working women out there. She’s constantly busy, she thrives off being busy, she clearly performs well under pressure though she never complains. She’s always been a cool customer and instantly puts you at ease. I value her input immensely and am lucky to not only have counted her as a colleague but most importantly I consider her a true friend.”

— Kirsty Raven, Electric Glue

“We worked with Trina and Andrew from Electric Pineapple Music Group on many of our songwriting camps, both locally and internationally.
